NIREUS - leading producer of fish from the Mediterranean Sea -chooses TRADIMAR to set up a new logistics solution in Italy

TRADIMAR – the STEF-TFE Group’s expert network for the transport and logistics of seafood – and NIREUS, leading producer of fish from the Mediterranean Sea (Sea Bass, Sea Bream) announced today an agreement to set up a new logistics solution in Italy.

NIREUS wanted to optimize its European logistics process to shorten its logistics lead times, improve its Customer offer and rapidly answer its clients’ growing requests for traceability and products availability from a number of platforms in Europe.

Moreover, its large and efficient European logistics network will be important for our development in the European market », said Aristides Belles, Chairman and managing director of NIREUS.

To better serve NIREUS’ European development, TRADIMAR has set in place a logistics operation in Italy covering product storage and delivery in Italy.

TRADIMAR Milan will be in charge of the operation in Italy: products will be stored on the Milan platform for a delivery throughout the whole country. In 2009, the Milan platform will handle 3.000 tons of fresh fish (filleted or hollowed Sea Bass and Sea Bream).
