RANA signs with STEF-TFE

STEF-TFE - the European leader for temperature-controlled logistics- and RANA – Europe’s fresh pasta leader – announced their signing of a new contract for logistics and transportation services in France.

RANA France wanted to optimize its logistics organization in France in consideration of its entering the private label market and an increase in Rana branded product volume.

"This contract is part of a European partnership (France / Italy) and complements the present agreement with Cavalieri, the Italian subsidiary of STEF-TFE. For over 10 years we have built a partnership based on trust, service quality and proximity in France. Today, we again work to offer global and focused services well adapted to the changing business and logistics needs of RANA France.

But above all, we give RANA an access to a multi-channel logistics, and a capacity to deliver to every segment: wholesale, mass retail, food, catering and restaurant", said Serge Capitaine, Deputy Director General of STEF-TFE.
STEF-TFE will take care of logistics as well as upstream and downstream transport of fresh,stuffed and smooth pasta: reception of goods from two production plants (PASTIFICIO RANA SPA in Italy and MAMMA LUCIA in Belgium), inventory management on the STEF Brignais platform under chilled temperatures (+4°C), picking, co-packing, shipping.

Each year, about 6 000 tons of fresh pasta coming under 100 references will be delivered to supermarkets, wholesalers and the catering industry.
