SDF Ibérica certified IFS Logistics
SDF Iberica, a STEF-TFE subsidiary and the leading cold-chain operator on the Spanish market, was granted by AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification) the first IFA Logistics certificate for its storage and transport negative cold (-25 ° C) Alcala de Henares platform.
The IFS Logistic is a standard for logistics activities in food and non food products (detergents, cosmetics, hygiene products). It covers all transport operations, storage, distribution, loading and unloading and all transport modes (road, rail, river, sea, air) under chilled, frozen or ambient conditions.
It adds to the standard requirements of the IFS system (management and quality systems) specific criteria relevant to different transport, storage or distribution steps.
The IFS Logistic certification is based on an audit where all critical aspects of the standard (98 items in total) are graded: staff training in good hygiene practices, protective packaging, transport equipment cleaning, building cleanliness...
Alcala de Henares SDF is a storage site and transportation frozen (-25 ° C) located in the province of Madrid. It caters to retailers and food manufacturers. It covers an area of over 10,300 m2, has a storage volume of almost 105,000 m3 and a capacity of almost 19,000 pallets. It has 150 employees in sales, administration and technical tasks. Il can handle 60,000 tons of merchandise per year.
