STEF-TFE is now ISO 22000 in Portugal

SDF Portugal, a subsidiary of STEF-TFE and cold logistics market leader in Portugal, has been certified ISO 22000 by APCER (Portuguese Association of Certification).

"Food safety and traceability are daily priorities for SDF Portugal. They are ingrained in the culture of a company that has implemented a HACCP-type system since 2008. This certification rewards the collective effort and professionalism constantly displayed by each member of a team dedicated to meeting customer needs and regulator requirements”, said Sergio Soares, CEO of SDF Portugal.

In 2007, STEF-TFE had obtained a first ISO 22000 certification from AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardization) for its Los Olivos SDF distribution center in Madrid. SDF Los Olivos supplies Carrefour stores in northern and central Spain.

ISO 22000 is an international standard for food safety. It aims to create and implement a management system for food safety. It puts particular emphasis on staff skills and a constant search for information on food products.
