STEF strengthens its leadership in Benelux with a comprehensive logistics offering

At STEF, we are pursuing our ambition to become the undisputed leader in cold logistics in Europe by consolidating our offer in Belgium and the Netherlands. Thanks to the strategic acquisitions of Bakker Logistiek in the Netherlands and TransWest and TDL Fresh Logistics in Belgium, our group has considerably strengthened its territorial coverage and operational capacity. As a result, we can now offer complete coverage of production and consumption areas in these two countries.

Increased logistics capacity in the Netherlands and Belgium

The acquisition of Bakker Logistiek enables us to consolidate our presence in the Netherlands. With 1,400 employees, 300 lorries and 170,000 m² of warehousing space at 8 strategic sites, we provide optimised management of the transport, logistics and packaging of temperature-controlled food products.

In Belgium, we draw on the complementary expertise of TransWest, a frozen food specialist, and TDL Fresh Logistics, a major player in the national distribution of fresh and frozen products. With 9 logistics sites, 1,040 employees, over 600 vehicles and more than 80,000 m² of warehousing space, we provide an essential logistics link between the Benelux countries, France and Germany.

The integration of TransWest and TDL Fresh Logistics represents a tremendous opportunity for STEF in Belgium. Our new capabilities will enable us to offer even more efficient solutions tailored to market needs.

STEF: a leader in Belgium and the Netherlands

Historically present in Wallonia, STEF has expanded its network in Flanders through recent acquisitions. STEF has also expanded beyond Belgium into the Netherlands. The company, which initially specialised in the transport of foodstuffs, has evolved through acquisitions into a full-service provider of storage, packaging and international distribution solutions.

This expansion enables STEF to become the market leader in cold logistics in Belgium and the Netherlands. With an enlarged network, increased capacity and enhanced expertise, the group is positioned as the benchmark player to support companies in the agri-food sector in their logistical challenges.

As Bastien Dreano points out: "This expansion is fully in line with our ambition to make STEF the key partner in the food supply chain in Europe.

This strategic move strengthens our ability to offer end-to-end transport and logistics solutions, reinforcing our commitment to providing our customers with a high-quality service that is increasingly efficient and sustainable.
