Where are STEF Netherlands’ locations situated?
STEF has six locations across the Netherlands, including Zeewolde, Heerenveen, Bodegraven, Eindhoven, Tilburg, and Raalte. These sites together form a strong logistics network with nationwide coverage for the transport, storage, and distribution of food products.
Why are the STEF locations important within the logistics network?
Each site plays a specific role within our national transport and distribution structure. We operate daily connections between the sites, delivering within 24 hours across the Netherlands. Thanks to cross-docking, we can quickly move goods between producer, storage, and destination.
What is cross-docking logistics at STEF?
At STEF, cross-docking means using locations where goods are transferred without long-term storage. From Zeewolde, Heerenveen, Raalte, and Eindhoven, we handle rapid product flows to distribution centres or stores. This makes our logistics efficient and ensures short lead times.
In which European countries is STEF active?
STEF operates in more than 15 European countries, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. From these locations, we provide international refrigerated transport and integrated supply chain solutions for the food industry.
How does the STEF location network contribute to sustainable transport?
Thanks to the strategic positioning of our logistics sites in the Netherlands, we can optimise routes, consolidate loads, and reduce empty kilometres. This makes our national distribution network not only efficient but also more sustainable. Read more about our initiatives for sustainable transport.
