STEF introduces intermodal transport: a sustainable innovation!
On 3 September, a semi-trailer full of goods went from Domodossala (Italy) on a train bound for Kaldenkirchen (Germany). After arrival, the trailer was transported by road to the nearest STEF site in the Netherlands. Two days later, a semi-trailer made the reverse journey transporting goods from northern Europe to Italy. Thanks to the trailers' autonomous refrigeration unit, the right term temperature could be guaranteed throughout the journey.
