STEF has been active on the Dutch market since 2005. We now have about 1.600 employees working at locations in Zeewolde, Heerenveen, Bodegraven, Eindhoven, Tilburg, Deventer, Gieten and Raalte. From truck driver to IT specialist, everyone contributes his or her share to our goal: getting food products from A to B safely and sustainably.
STEF: Your local gateway to Europe
In 2005, STEF started offering international groupage from the Netherlands to southern Europe. In 2014, Speksnijder Transport in Bodegraven was acquired. This was followed in 2016 by the acquisition of Vers-Express in Eindhoven and a minority stake in Netko Raalte. In 2019, Netko was fully incorporated and in 2021 we expanded our network with the acquisition of a part of the Nagel network. Since January 2024, Bakker Logistiek is also a part of STEF.
STEF is an international organization with branches in 8 European countries and a unique network. At the same time, we have always managed to retain the local feeling. This enables us to serve our customers optimally within the Dutch market, but we also make our network available to them to reach new markets.
We believe that happy colleagues make for happy customers. Much attention is paid to personal development and the balance between our employees' private and professional life. The company culture is unique: Dutch down-to-earthness and openness mixed with international STEF ambitions and a touch of joie de vivre. Because our French roots remain present.
In addition to satisfied employees, we also consider corporate social responsibility to be important. That is why we are certified to conduct food storage and distribution in the most responsible way possible. STEF Nederland B.V. (centrally guiding the individual sites) is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has the Lean & Green 2nd star. All our sites are BRC S&D and SKAL Bio certified.
We see it as our responsibility to strive for the most sustainable transport and logistics possible. One of the programs launched in that context is Moving Green. In this program, we are taking important steps to become climate neutral by 2030.
